Marin Cacic, an NK Nehaj football player is reported to have passed away. The 23-year old died while in the hospital, days after he was put in a coma.

Marin collapsed while the team was in a training session. He had to be rushed to the hospital to seek fast medical attention.

Days after, Marin has passed away following a heart attack. NK Nehaj announced the news of Marin’s passing through Facebook.

“Just fight, because you only know that way!! I know very well that there is no difference between training and a game to you, but add gas to this “game” and win!!!”

These were some of the messages sent to give strength to Cacicas he was fighting for his life in the hospital. After the news of his death, tributes and condolence messages have been flowing in to remember the Gospic-born defender.
