Jefferson’s parents confirmed the death of their son. He is reported to have passed away from an apparent suicide according to a statement by JCA Hillzone which reads;
“From the JCA hillzone we mourn the losses of John Anothony&Ryan Jefferson,JCA stands with you and will be praying for the friends and families of these boys. We will carry a banner this weekend to honor the boys, and the theme for Saturday’s football game will be teal&purple 
“.
