Following Manchester United’s 8-5 win against AS Roma in the Europa League, the clash against Liverpool was supposed to be a pacesetter so as to put a grip on United’s game. United is to face Villareal on the 26th of March 2021 for the Europa final.
United faced Liverpool back in January in a goalless draw but in the resulting FA cup fixture, United came from behind to win 3-2.
The sole survivor from the Leicester line-up will probably be Eric Bailly, despite a haphazard performance against Leicester. Dean Henderson, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Fred, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, and Edinson Cavani are all likely to be recalled.
Not much is expected to change in the Liverpool Lineup with the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Giorgio, Trent, and Robertson expected to in the lineup.
Liverpool need to win the game if they are to have any future at next season’s UEFA Champions League games.
