Two days down the line after the Pharmacy and Poisons Board gave approval to emergency use of the sputnik-V Covid-19 vaccine in Kenya, the Russian-manufactured Sputnik-V Covid-19 vaccine has arrived in Kenya with at least 75,000 doses of the jab having been shipped into the country.
This comes in to complement the presence of the AstraZeneca vaccine that arrived in the country three weeks ago.
The Sputnik-V Covid-19 vaccine jab will cost Ksh11,000.
The jab will only be available to those aged 18 years and above.
The Sputnik-V Covid-19 vaccine has a 91.6% Efficiency making it the third vaccine in the world to have efficiency above 90%.
