He is an American business executive, currently serving as CEO of Intel after he received the job offer on January 13, 2021.
He previously served as CEO of VMware for eight years and as president and chief operating officer at EMC for three years before that, moving from Intel where he had worked for more than three decades.
At Intel, he architected the Intel 80486 processor, served as senior vice president and general manager of Digital Enterprise, rising to be the first CTO of Intel before leaving.
In 2013, Gelsinger co-founded Transforming the Bay with Christ (TBC), a coalition of business leaders, venture capitalists, non-profit leaders, and pastors aiming to convert one million people over the next decade.
