Katie Amess, born Katherine Louise Diana Amess is an  English actress and model. She was born on 19 July 1985 (age 36 years),  in Basildon, Essex, United Kingdom. She is also Sir David Amess’ daughter.

Katie is the host of British television commercials and has had several film and television roles.

Katie grew up in Basildon until the age of 11and then moved to nearby Southend-on-Sea for boarding school. She attended St Anne Line Primary School in Basildon before going to the Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School in Brentwood, Essex.

Finally, she went to St Bernard’s High School in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex.

After high school, she went on to study Drama at the Queen Mary University of London and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Katie Amess has competed in several British beauty pageants. She won the title of Miss Essex 2008 for the Miss Earth 2008 contest.

Also, In 2008, she became a finalist for the Miss England competition.

In 2013, Katie Amess,  publicly criticized her father’s stance on same-sex marriage after, producing a film in support of gay people and their rights. The film was called, Miserable Lesbians.

Her brother, David Amess Jr– was jailed in 2005 for wounding with intent. This was after he smashed a bottle of champagne over a man’s head in a nightclub.
