Joshua James Richard is a British-American National supposedly in his late 30’s. He moved to New York from Cornwall, England He is known for being Chloe Zhao’s partner.
He is also a known Cinematographer with him holding awards for some of his best works, like Nomadland (2020), God’s Own Country (2017), The Rider (2017), and Songs My Brothers Taught Me(2015).
Joshua and Chloe met at New York University Tisch School of the Arts back in 2012 and have been great friends ever since. “There was a bond formed just through our taste and visually what we were drawn to,” James talked about his Professional relationship with Chloe.
Richards is the son of a former traveling preacher and so his better part of early childhood was spent moving from one school to another. With the traveling to factor into his life, he diverged most of his time into drawing, and with this grew his love for arts.
Before enrolling at NYU, he achieved his bachelor’s degree from the Bournemouth University Film and Television School of Film and Creative Writing.
