Who is Ezra Blount?
Ezra Blount, 9-years old, has passed away after sustaining major life threatening injuries. Blount passed away on Sunday 14 ,November 2021.
Ezra was on life support for days after he was injured at Travis Scott’s Astroworld music festival stampede. The performance was set at NRG Park on Nov. 5.

As Ezra was still fighting for his life, his father, Treston Blount, confirmed in an interview that his son was a Travis Scott die hard fan from a young age.

Treston held Ezra on his shoulders as the countdown began to Scott’s performance. They stayed toward the back of the crowd because Treston said he thought it would be calmer.
“As soon as Travis Scott took the stage, people started pushing”, Treston said. He also confirmed having lost consciousness while his son, Ezra fell onto the ground.
As a result, Ezra was trampled. After regaining consciousness, he couldn’t notice his son anywhere. He hurried to on-site medic tents and also as many hospitals to try and locate his son.
Treston went on to fill out a missing person report before receiving a message from a politician that enclosed an image of Ezra.

He was informed to go to the hospital. Treston learned Ezra’ major organs had been damaged, his brain was swollen, and he was also on life support.

Blount’s family attorney, Ben Crump, released the following statement in light of Ezra’s passing away:
“The Blount family is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son. This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a joyful celebration. Ezra’s death is absolutely heartbreaking. We are committed to seeking answers and justice for the Blount family. But we stand in solidarity with the family, in grief, and in prayer.”
Ezra Blount is the 10th victim who has died from the Astroworld stampede. Last Wednesday, Bharti Shahani died to put he death toll at 9 people.
