Clarence T. Cleary was born on April 8, 1910, and died on June 15, 2004.
He loved music, and his songs and beautiful voice were a melody by all those who knew him.
Clarence Cleary was a kind-hearted economics and history student in college.
He was also Roman Catholic, which didn’t sit well with his wife’s Presbyterian parents. Undaunted, Clarence and Atlee eloped and Beverly became Beverly Cleary in 1940.
The couple remained together until Clarence’s death in 2004.

Clarence and Beverly had two children in their marriage span, Malcolm James Cleary and Marianne Elizabeth Cleary.

He was survived by his wife, son and daughter, and three grandchildren.
