Dragon Ball Voice Actor and Narrator, Joji Yanami has passed away at the age of 90 years.

Joji Yanami was born on 30 August 1931 (age 90 years), Tokyo Prefecture. He was born Shigemitsu Shirato. Joji was a Japanese Actor, Voice actor, and also narrator.

Joji was affiliated with the  Aoni Production at the time of his death. The production agency confirmed the news of the actor passing away.

Joji passed away on December 3. The voice actor was best known for his time in the Dragon Ball series. He voiced Kaio-sama.

Joji Yanami Cause of Death and Family: Wife and Children.

The cause of death of Joji Yanami is yet to be confirmed at this point. However, local reports have confirmed that a closed funeral service has already been held for his family members.

The service also included close personal friends and also workmates.

The Aoni Production Agency has expressed its sincere gratitude for Joji Yanami’s work and “kindness” during his lifetime. They are deeply saddened by the news of the actor’s passing away.

Joji began his career back in the 1960s where he voiced characters in Wolf Boy Ken, Cyborg 009,  Moomin, and Osomatsu-kun. Yanami went on to land roles in Ashita no Joe, Mazinger Z, Cutie Honey, and Devilman.

On September 25, 2015, Toei Animation announced that Yanami would be taking a medical leave from Dragon Ball Super. The duration was for an indefinite amount of time.
