Chelsea is victorious in Stamford bridge.

Chelsea welcomed Atletico Madrid to Stamford Bridge with a small but solid lead in their Champions League tie after the first leg, a 1-0 victory earned for them by Olivier Giroud’s bicycle kick in Bucharest.

In each of the last seven matchups in which Atletico Madrid has lost the first game, they have lost the tie as well. To change that they will have to do something that no team has against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea: win.

In the 34th minute, Chelsea’s hard work paid off, Timo Werner crossed the ball from the left side and Hakim Ziyech was on the Receiving end to award Chelsea their first goal of the game.

Atletico tried to fight on with the game with no luck of scoring goals and  In the 81st minute, Stefan Savic was sent off after he fouled Antonio Rudiger marking the end of Diego Simeone’s run in this season’s UEFA Champions League campaign.

In the 90+4 minute, Emerson put in a slow kick-shot assisted by Pulisic to guarantee Chelsea’s win.

Chelsea is victorious in Stamford bridge winning on an aggregate of 3-0.
